Sand Systems
Sand systems are designed to meet the projected requirements of a foundry’s future growth and anticipated demand from the foundry’s customers. Always planning for future growth in sizing all equipment. Sand systems consist of shakeout, separation of foreign material, core butts screening, sand cooling, sand storage, additive equipment, mulling equipment, compactability controls, and prepared sand delivery equipment. Each element of the sand system must be carefully selected to insure that the best possible equipment is engineered into the system.

AFK Corporation
This Sand System was custom engineered and sized for our "500 Series" specifications. The system consists of: oscillating pan conveyors, rotary shakeout, return sand bucket elevator, rotary screen, secondary sand screening, 150-ton capacity round return sand bin, bin discharger, B&P muller, Hartley compactability controller with bond determination, bond and new sand silos, Hartley pneumatic transport of additives to muller, prepared sand distribution belt, automatic molding machine feeder bins, spillsand drag chain conveyor, Summit Foundry’s graphic control systems and AB motor control centers.

Foote Foundry
This Sand System was custom engineered and sized for our "500 Series" specifications. The system consists of: vibrating barrel shakeout, return sand bucket elevator, rotary screen, magnetic separation, Two (2) 90-ton capacity round return sand bins, bin dischargers, B&P muller, Hartley compactability controller with bond determination, bond and new sand silos, Hartley pneumatic transport of additives to muller, mill belt conveyor, distribution belt conveyor, system PLC controls, motor control center, climate controlled muller control room and dust collection.

Alloy Casting
This Sand System was custom engineered and sized for our "400 Series" specifications. The system consists of: shakeout dual chain conveyor, double 10”x6” bucket elevator, double deck 4’x12’ vibratory screen, 90 ton capacity round return sand bin, bin discharger, M2500 ringmullor feeding an existing prepared sand distribution system with molder hoppers.
